Frame development

There are many factors that affect ride performance. Addressing these issues is a complicated science and elusive art. There are many sources of vibration in the suspension and frame, and many evolving techniques for designing a quite, pleasant riding vehicle. MMW® maintains a comprehensive capability for model simulations and structural dynamics to ensure proper balance to achieve the perfect ride performance. Our engineers evaluate frame vibration and noise levels in order to formulate experimental programs that will lead to identification of vibration sources, the paths of propagation and acceptable control measures.



Climate Control Development

In the relentless pursuit of commuter comfort, we commissioned the creation of the MMW Trifecta UCV™ climate control air conditioning system to a select team of engineers, to research and deliver a comprehensive design and manufacture road map. This allowed MMW to delve into the complex intricacies of developing our custom air conditioning climate control system. It is custom designed and manufactured specifically for Mizer Motor Works’ Trifecta UCV™ micro commuter, three-wheel, motorcycle Trike vehicle by one of the world’s largest automotive component companies. Our system allows occupants to set and maintain specific comfort parameters, including temperature and airflow.

Independent suspension development

There are two major schools of thought about motorcycle tri-wheel suspension… solid axle versus independent suspension. Traditionally, solid axels three-wheelers offer good handling but a harsh ride. The fully independent MMW Trifecta UCV™ suspension utilizes several unique approaches to maximize both handling and ride: wide-track angular suspension, custom high performance shocks and a custom undercarriage that doubles as a stabilizer bar. The angular suspension allow the wheels to move back and away from highway bumps, resulting in a softer, stable, controlled ride.

Test Driver Reviews

Views posted are reviews received from independent test drivers for certification purposes. Vehicles were driven 2,500 miles to test handling, range, battery performance, electric motor performance, turn radius, operation in inclement weather, environmental control system performance and safety features.

I was really impressed with the handling of the Trifecta UCV™. The vehicle is very stable and managed sharp turns into curves well. Breaking was also very impressive.

Acceleration from zero to 65mph was reached in under eight seconds. This allowed us to reach highway cruising speeds relative quickly and to avoid obstruction of oncoming traffic. The vehicle accelerated smoothly and handled very well during the transition from start to reaching top speed.

Testing the overall range of the Trifecta UCV™, revealed a comfortable travel of roughly 250 miles with the optional solid-state lithium-ion battery and a travel range of roughly 200 miles with the standard lithium-ion battery. The environmental control system performed faultlessly, and all components were well designed and functioned properly.
